Heat pumps and solar panels in Leuven
Our home base: from terraced houses in the city centre to new builds on the edge of town.
Leuven is our home base. Our team sets out from the city every morning, so we can usually schedule a site visit the same or the following week.
Terraced and town houses in the city centre
Many homes inside the ring road are narrow terraced houses or town houses with a small garden or courtyard. That calls for careful placement of a heat pump’s outdoor unit: not too close to the neighbours, easy to reach for maintenance and as quiet as possible. A flat roof on a rear extension is often the best spot.
For older homes we often recommend a hybrid heat pump first, or start by insulating the roof. That keeps you comfortable while you make your home more sustainable step by step.
New builds and renovations on the edge of town
In newer neighbourhoods and for thorough renovations, we mainly install air-to-water heat pumps combined with underfloor heating and solar panels. A well-designed combination covers a large part of your energy use with your own electricity.
On site quickly
Because we’re based in Leuven itself, customers with a maintenance contract are usually helped the same or the next working day when something breaks down.

Frequently asked questions
Can I put a heat pump outdoor unit on the street side in Leuven?
On the street side that's usually not allowed or not advisable. In the city centre we generally look for a spot in the garden, on a flat roof or in the courtyard, taking the distance to the neighbours and planning rules into account.
Can I install solar panels on a listed building?
For listed heritage or within a protected townscape, a permit is often required. We check this during the site visit and help you with the necessary steps.
