Heat pump installation in Leuven
Air-to-water and hybrid heat pumps sized for your home, with help claiming the subsidy.

A heat pump extracts heat from the outside air and uses it to heat your home and hot water. For every kilowatt-hour of electricity, a well-installed heat pump delivers three to four kilowatt-hours of heat. That makes it one of the most efficient ways to heat a home, especially combined with solar panels.
Who is a heat pump right for?
A heat pump pays off most in a well-insulated home heated by underfloor heating or generously sized radiators. If you’re building or renovating thoroughly, it’s often the logical choice. If your home is older and (not yet) well insulated, a hybrid heat pump can be a good intermediate step: it works together with your existing boiler.
We’ll also tell you honestly when a heat pump isn’t a good idea today, and show you which insulation work pays off most first.
How we work
- Free site visit. We look at your home, your current heating system and your energy use.
- Heat loss calculation. So we choose a unit with the right capacity: not too small, but not needlessly large either.
- Fixed quote. Including the unit, installation, any changes to radiators or pipework, and the expected subsidy.
- Installation. Usually in two to three working days, by our own team.
- Commissioning and handover. We tune the system and explain how to use it as efficiently as possible.
How much does a heat pump cost?
For an air-to-water heat pump in an average family home, expect 10,000 to 16,000 euros installed. A hybrid heat pump typically costs 5,000 to 8,000 euros. The subsidy is deducted from that. The exact price depends on the capacity, the heat distribution system and how accessible the location for the outdoor unit is.
Subsidies and VAT
In Flanders you apply for the subsidy through Mijn VerbouwPremie. For homes older than ten years, the reduced VAT rate of 6 percent usually applies. Because the rules change regularly, we check which benefits apply to you at the time of each quote, and help you apply.
Warranty and maintenance
You get the full manufacturer’s warranty plus our own guarantee on the installation. Annual maintenance keeps your heat pump efficient and is a warranty condition for many manufacturers. Want to use your own electricity? Combine your heat pump with solar panels.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a heat pump cost?
An air-to-water heat pump for an average home usually costs between 10,000 and 16,000 euros installed, depending on the capacity, the heat distribution system and any adjustments needed. After the site visit you get a fixed price.
Is my home suitable for a heat pump?
A heat pump works best in a well-insulated home with underfloor heating or large radiators. During the site visit we calculate the heat loss and tell you honestly whether a heat pump makes sense now, or whether insulation pays off more first.
Which subsidy can I get?
Our service area is in Flanders, where you apply for the subsidy through Mijn VerbouwPremie. The amount depends on the type of unit and your income category. We calculate it in the quote and help you apply.
Is a heat pump noisy?
Modern outdoor units are quiet, comparable to a fridge a few metres away. We choose a location together that takes your neighbours and the applicable rules into account.
